Why Wallpaper?
Wallpaper in the 1980’s was ugly as crap! Shiny gold? Black and orange was the hip look? WTF? As time passed, wallpaper became dated (‘bout time) and faux finishing became the new rage. So, naturally, I grew a faux finishing business and created many custom designs that had the appearance of wallpaper. Faux finishing was really groovy, BUT, went out like the burning end of cigarette real quick! Now, wallpaper is back and the new craze; hence, the reason for the creation of my custom painted wallpaper evolved.
Hell, who knows…if I live long enough, my faux finishing business may be the “thing” again.
I have really enjoyed creating these lines of paper and I hope you enjoy them too!
How it’s made
All of the designs of the wallpaper line are original hand painted designs, or hand made templates. The designs are intentionally created to have the look of free hand art work with imperfections, and a painted brushstroke look. The designs are then scanned on an enormous scanner, thanks to our special printing company. Our colorways are chosen by a special team…Myself, Maurna and Audrey the color specialists. Maurna and Audrey are also our web designers! A Fabulous Team! I’m so happy to introduce this line of paper and then printed for many to enjoy.
